Domestic Precipitated Silica Production Status and Development Trends
In 2023, the Precipitated Silica industry experienced strong overall growth, with companies reporting improved profit levels compared to the previous year. By the end of 2023, there were 53 domestic manufacturers producing precipitated silica using the precipitation method, with a combined production capacity reaching 2.891 million tons—up 4.37% from the previous year.
Rice husk ash precipitated silica is expected to become a viable alternative to traditionally produced precipitated silica.
According to assessments by market consulting firms, global demand for precipitated silica reached 3.1 million tons in 2023; among these, the tire industry accounted for the largest share—approximately 37% of total demand—while non-tire rubber products made up 28%. Meanwhile, with growing environmental awareness, a new sustainable alternative—precipitated silica derived from rice husk ash—is gradually gaining attention.
Applications and Features of Vibrating Screens in the Carbon Black Industry
In the carbon black industry, since carbon black is relatively lightweight (with a specific gravity of around 0.2), conventional vibration screens—such as linear vibratory screens—are not ideally suited for this material. For coarse filtration or secondary processing, rotary vibrating screens or ultrasonic vibrating screens can be used. However, when it comes to advanced deep-processing applications, an air-classifying separator is the preferred choice.
[Industry Outlook] Analysis of China's Precipitated Silica Industry Development
The Precipitated Silica industry in China is a continuously growing sector. Precipitated Silica, a vital industrial raw material, finds applications in fields such as rubber, plastics, ink, and coatings. As China’s industrialization progresses, demand for Precipitated Silica has been steadily increasing. Chinese companies in this industry are consistently upgrading their production technologies, ramping up R&D efforts, and enhancing product quality, all of which have fueled the industry’s expansion. Meanwhile, rising environmental awareness has prompted these companies to boost their investments in eco-friendly practices, further driving the industry toward sustainable growth. However, the sector also faces challenges, including intense international competition and volatile raw material prices—yet it remains poised for future growth, offering significant market opportunities along the way.
