According to the quarterly financial reports, Q1 2024 saw revenue of 1.012 billion, marking an 11.58% year-on-year decline, while net loss widened significantly to -11.5156 million, representing a staggering 1077.81% drop compared to the same period last year—largely due to weak market demand and volatile raw material costs at the start of the year. By mid-year, however, revenue rebounded slightly to 3.094 billion, with the year-on-year decline narrowing to 14.72%. Net profit improved to approximately 211 million, though still down 45.22% from the previous year, reflecting the company’s ongoing efforts in cost management and market expansion. Looking at the third-quarter results, revenue stood at 4.684 billion, a 18.27% decrease year-on-year, while net profit fell by 50.95% to 309 million. Although full-year figures for 2024 haven’t yet been fully disclosed, the overall trend suggests that both revenue and net profit likely experienced a moderate decline compared to 2023. For context, in its 2023 annual report, Dongpeng Holdings reported robust growth, with revenue reaching 7.773 billion, up 12.16% year-on-year, and net profit soaring to 720 million, a remarkable 256.63% increase from the prior year—a stark contrast to the current year’s results. This shift can largely be attributed to the prolonged downturn in the real estate sector, which has sharply reduced demand for building ceramics—the company’s core downstream industry—and negatively impacted sales of its tile and bathroom products. Despite these headwinds, Dongpeng Holdings remains committed to driving growth by actively advancing its Smart Ceramic Home Industry Park project and expanding new production capacities. These strategic initiatives are expected to enhance the company’s competitive edge and pave the way for stronger performance in the future.
